Three phases. One target at a time.

Focus on the joints during armor. Optional plate damage does not count toward combat score, and plates do not need to break to expose the core.
IN THE ARENA
Find the gold joints
- Shield cells have cleared in this scene.
- Gold joints are the required armor targets.
- Optional plate damage does not build score.
Read the incoming attack
- Claw arc: steer clear of the sweeping danger area before impact.
- Tracking beam: watch the beam follow you during its charge. Once it locks, move out of its line before it fires.
- Zone burst: leave the marked area before the burst lands.
Each attack has a warning, an impact and a recovery. Use the warning to reposition, then return your attention to the next useful target.

A target and a warning
- The exposed core is your photon target.
- An attack warning tells you to reposition.
- The critical-window prompt signals a timing opportunity.
Time your critical hits
The critical window opens in the final 0.6 seconds before an attack’s impact. Match your weapon to its target during that window: guns on shields, missiles or grenades on joints, and photons on the core.
Keep a safe position while you take the shot. You still need to evade the attack.
Protect your shield
Incoming hits reduce your personal shield. Time without taking damage lets it recover. Keep moving and avoid another hit while it recharges.
At zero shield, you are knocked out. Revive is disabled during early access, so make your remaining shield count.
Take on the next boss
A boss defeat advances everyone in the room to the next rung. Boss health and attack threat increase as you climb.
You earn progress credit for the bosses you help defeat. Keep contributing through the final phase to turn your damage into completed boss progress.
